Sara Diane Nolan
LICSW, Psychotherapist
Welcome. Thank you for stopping in.
I'm glad you are here!
Finding a good connection with your therapist is an important step of beginning therapy. My hope is that you will take some time to learn more about me and my work through these pages. If you find that we might work well together, please do get in touch.

I believe that we heal in connection. Through an attuned therapeutic relationship, safety becomes something you experience, not just understand. In this meeting, the nervous system softens, the brain learns anew and change becomes possible.

The part of you that longs to heal is already here, therapy simply lights the path home.

Coming home to ourselves is the greatest reunion.
***
A little about me: I’m a lover of poetry, pottery and sunflowers. I care deeply about human rights and believe in the inherent worth of every person. As a recovering perfectionist, I’m doing my best to age with grace and integrity, to love and support my children as they navigate adulthood and to be the calm, grounded presence my dogs
already believe me to be.
Healing that honors your parts and your story
Every part of you has a voice.

Therapy offers a safe space where those parts can be heard and understood, allowing change to grow from within. It is a privilege to walk alongside people as they
courageously seek support.
Anxiety, stress or old wounds don’t have to hold you in their grasp
Every part of you deserves recognition, understanding and connection
Old patterns can soften when met with curiosity
and compassion
Therapy gives your system a space to softly rest, trust
and grow
Healing begins when your parts are seen, heard and gently held
Change happens when your Self is invited to courageously lead your system
Heart led, relationship centered.
With over twenty years in private practice, my work is shaped by deep listening, steady presence and a respect for each person’s inner world. I specialize in EMDR, Internal Family Systems and Brainspotting, approaches that support the nervous system’s natural capacity to heal. I work with children, adolescents and adults, offering care that meets you where you are and moves at a pace that feels safe. At the center of this work is relationship: a quiet, trusting space where all parts are welcome and meaningful change can gently take hold.
My capacity to be in meaningful relationship with your system and its parts is rooted in an ongoing practice of meeting my own inner world with tenderness and care. Shaped by experiences of loss and adversity and the guidance and wisdom of many teachers and healers along the way, I have come to hold deep reverence for the healing power of relationship.

"I will not rescue you, for you are not powerless.
I will not fix you, for you are not broken.
I will not heal you, for I see you in your wholeness.
I will walk with you through the darkness,
As you remember your light."
~A Medicine Woman's Prayer
